Do your shoes allow for insole/footbed inserts? Are the footbeds removable?

Absolutely! Our proprietary and highly cushioned performance footbed is removable so it can be washed or even replaced with your own orthotic if needed.

Does the BENDY footbed have arch support?

The BENDY has a wonderful propriety, removable and eco footbed that does not include a false arch support. We have considered foot health every step of the way during our research and development process.

Our feet are designed with many small bones that help us balance and support our bodies. When a typical person wears arch supports, this leaves the shoe to do all of the work that the arch is naturally supposed to do. It actually weakens the foot.

The BENDY has a nice roomy toe box that allows for natural movement and flex. If the toe box is too narrow, then natural expansion of the feet can’t happen. Our feet shouldn’t be crammed in shoes. Instead, we should be able to comfortably move our toes.

By constantly wearing shoes with little support such as flip flops, sandals, wedges or no height difference from front to back heel, it can harm the foot’s health. These types of shoes change how we walk because we need to clench our toes to grip the shoe. Each step forces us to change our feet to be in a fixed, non flexible position.

I have a narrow foot 9a. Will you have narrow sizes?

Our first run of product will not have narrow or wide. That said, our plan in the long run will be to offer wide and narrow. Our brand will focus on just one bottom/sole, so we think we should be able to fit everyone.

Why aren't your shoes vegan?

Leather is a by-product of the meat industry. Although it has its own set of issues, we are working with an Italian tanner that minimizes its impact and has developed their own water treatment center as well as using all water based tanning. They have received awards for their processes. Also leather is a great material for shoes as it breathes (does not make your feet sweat) and forms to your foot and is more comfortable then synthetic/vegan materials.

Most ‘vegan’ materials are petroleum based and the creation of them is at odds with the environment much more than the tanning process. That said, we understand that some women by principal are against animal products. If so, the BENDY is not for them.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
