Dear BENDY Backers,

Thank you very much for your support. Our campaign ended last night at 150% of our goal! We are forever grateful to everyone who has supported us. Friends, family and complete strangers/future friends came out to back us and we are humbled by your support.

Caroline and I have been in footwear our entire careers. We are so excited to finally be building a shoe for ourselves, instead of other people. Yvette is our Creative Director and has spent a big chunk of her career in digital marketing. We know we have an amazing team in place to make the BENDY something very special.

We did give ourselves a pat on the back last night..but today the work goes on to bring the BENDY to life.

You will be getting a separate email in the next week asking you for more details on your pledge (size, color, shipping info, email). Please look out for this in your inbox.

We are already well into the production process. This week we are a looking at box artwork designs. We also just placed a sample order for two new Spring 2019 colors :) 

We will continue to touch base with you throughout our project as we have updates.

Check out our fit trials from yesterday

Hi BENDY Backers,

We are almost at the close of our campaign. Just 5 days left!  It has really been an exciting month for us.

Behind the scenes, the production of the BENDY is underway. We received some fit samples in this week and fit them on some friends. Having been in the shoe business our entire careers we know the importance of a proper fit. We have been measuring our friends feet and logging them in a spreadsheet. So when we got the samples in this week we asked Brady and Samantha to stop by the studio and fit them.

Full disclosure, they are our friends, and they knew they were on camera, but that said, you be the judge.. they seemed to really like the shoes :)

Meet Camille, Namer of the Bendy

Dear BENDY Backers,

If you didn’t already know, we are all three moms. Our kids inspired us in many ways as we created the BENDY, but Camille, Caroline’s daughter, wins the distinguished title of ‘Namer of the BENDY’.

Mary Sue racked her brain for months on end trying to come up with just the right name. Until one day when she stopped by Caroline’s house to pick up a prototype and Camille answered the door. Mary Sue announced that she was here to pick up the shoe her mom had been working on. Camille replied, you mean the BENDY shoe? As it rolled off her lips Mary Sue knew it was the one. We couldn’t resist getting her on video telling her story.

Our campaign continues to rock it! It would be REALLY awesome if you could share your discovering of the BENDY with friends.

Big Bendy News Today

Hi Bendy Backers,

Please pat yourself on the back right now. You all made this announcement possible!  When we launched the BENDY we knew we wanted to handcraft great shoes, but we also wanted to play a role in getting our industry to rethink the current design practices that are damaging to the environment. We think the design and manufacturing of shoes needs to be looked at through a new lens for the good of the planet, and educating the next generation of designers is the best way to create real change. So today we are proudly announcing the creation of:

-The creation of first of Ethical Shoe Design Course and Scholarship with Pacific Northwest College of Art’s prestigious PENSOLE Footwear Design School.

-Course will cover the fundamentals of ethical and sustainable footwear design

-The BENDY has established a scholarship fund and will donate a portion of our proceeds from each sale to cover the course tuition for a select student.
